Jared C. Johnson

Attorney and Practice Director

Jared has dedicated his legal career to ensuring medical providers are compensated for treating accident victims. For 17 years, he has managed hospital liens under Texas Property Code Chapter 55, earning respect as a leading authority in South Texas.

In addition to hospital systems, Jared represents smaller medical providers who rely on letters of protection (LOPs). His team ensures reimbursement when promises are overlooked. Jared also leads a Discovery Dispute practice group, protecting providers from intrusive discovery requests.

Having handled over 100,000 cases, Jared’s experience in securing compensation is unparalleled. Known as the “Danger Goose” at JCJ Law Group, he is celebrated for tackling challenges with humor and a supportive team ethos.

Born in Montana and raised in DFW, Jared holds a BBA from Baylor University and a JD from South Texas College of Law. He resides in Tyler, Texas, with his wife Carrie and their family.

Rachel Holland-Hadjis

SENIOR ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY & MANAGING PARTNER

Rachel Holland-Hadjis is a senior associate attorney and Managing Partner at JCJ Law Group, specializing in healthcare law and civil and commercial litigation. Known for her meticulous attention to detail and strong legal research skills, she oversees the firm’s hospital lien programs. Prior to JCJ Law Group, Rachel worked as an assistant attorney general in the Civil Medicaid Fraud Division and clerked for Justices Phil Johnson and Brett Busby of the Texas Supreme Court. She graduated summa cum laude from Texas Tech University School of Law in 2018 and from Texas A&M University in Political Science. Rachel lives in central Houston with her husband and two sons, enjoying local parks and museums.

Sana Rajani

Senior Associate Attorney

Sana Rajani joined JCJ Law Group in 2024 and is dedicated to guiding her clients through many types of transactions and disputes. While the primary focus of her practice is on real estate transactions and disputes, and she has built a reputation across all of the firm’s practice areas for her unrivaled ability to combine careful legal analysis and meticulous attention to detail with practical solutions to ensure that her clients are able to navigate their legal issues with confidence. Sana’s goal is always to achieve favorable outcomes for her clients while minimizing stress and mess. She also has the distinction of being the JCJ Law Group associate attorney most often dragged into litigation matters that originated in Jared Johnson’s office.

Sana earned a bachelor’s degree from Baylor University before attending and graduating from Oklahoma City School of Law in May 2020. She was licensed to practice law in Texas in May 2021. When she’s not toiling away for her clients in her office, Sana enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and their dog, Witten, trying out new restaurants, traveling to National Parks (Witten doesn’t usually get to tag along on those trips), and spending time with her family.

Phebian Adekunle-Ajayi

Associate Attorney

Phebian Adekunle-Ajayi, originally from Nigeria, moved to the U.S. in 2014 and brings an international perspective to her legal practice. She graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Northern Colorado and earned her J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in May 2022. Phebian’s legal experience includes pro se clinic work, family law internships, and compliance roles. At JCJ Law Group, she focuses on healthcare law and civil litigation. Outside work, she enjoys exploring Houston’s trails, culinary adventures, and family time with Nigerian cuisine.

Landalynn Haley M. Ramirez

Associate Attorney

Landalynn Haley M. Ramirez joined JCJ Law Group in 2024, specializing in healthcare law with a focus on discovery disputes. She earned her Juris Doctorate from Thurgood Marshall School of Law in 2021 and became licensed in 2022. Previously, Landalynn worked at a family law firm, developing strong advocacy skills. Her personal experiences motivate her to support clients through complex legal processes, ensuring they feel comfortable and understood. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, watching movies with her goldendoodle Chance, community service, and solo travel.

Lisa Mendoza

Practice Administrator

Lisa Mendoza is a seasoned paralegal with over 20 years of expertise in third-party healthcare collections. She excels in managing a team that handles defaulted letters of protection for physicians, imaging centers, chiropractors, and surgery centers. Outside of work, Lisa values time with her family and her 7 nieces and nephews. She and her partner of two decades, Robert, are set to marry this summer. They live in Humble, Texas, with their two dogs, Nacho and Mandy.

Mary R. Honeycut

Firm Administrator

Mary R. Honeycut is the Firm Administrator at JCJ Law Group, PLLC, with 33 years of experience in legal healthcare collections. She expertly manages disputes with major insurers like Aetna, BCBS, Cigna, Humana, and UHC, and oversees third-party collectors handling hospital liens from auto insurers such as State Farm and Progressive. Mary also volunteers with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and serves as a court-appointed child advocate for Montgomery County CASA. She resides in Montgomery County, Texas, enjoys time with her four children and eight grandchildren, and recently married her partner, Kim. Mary’s hobbies include reading, creative writing, photography, and traveling.

Stephen Willis is a seasoned Systems Engineer with a decade of experience in software development and automation. At JCJ Law Group, he enhances efficiency and productivity by optimizing systems and processes. Stephen excels in multiple programming languages, especially C# and .NET frameworks, and is renowned for creating tailored automation solutions. His integrity and dedication make him a trusted expert, known for delivering innovative and reliable software solutions. Colleagues and clients value his professionalism and exceptional results.

Li’l Bexar

Senior Executive Vice President of Emotional Support

Li’l Bexar, affectionately known as Bexar (pronounced “bäre”), joined Lien on Me shortly after its founding in February 2024. Born in January 2024, this charming French bulldog brightens the office with his toe licks, ankle nudges, belly rubs, and head scratches. His calming presence alleviates stress and boosts morale among team members. Bexar’s absence is keenly felt, underscoring his vital role in the firm’s success. With a streak of Employee of the Month awards, Bexar is more than a mascot; he’s a cherished part of the team, dedicated to spreading happiness and easing workplace stress.
